About Us

Ashley Roth

I am a Texas girl living in Utah. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science with a minor in Music. I have a love for band and playing my French horn, though I don't get much opportunity to play these days. I served as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Boise, Idaho in 2010 and 2011, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I come from a family with six kids, of which I'm the fourth; I have four brothers and one sister, so I grew up loving fantasy and video games. I'm crazy about Pokémon and Dungeons & Dragons, and I'm a snack-a-holic. ☺

Josh Roth

I studied film at BYU. I love watching and making movies, as well as listening to and arranging all kinds of music. I grew up as the oldest in the family with two younger brothers, but now I also have two older sisters, an older brother, and a younger sister, after my parents divorced and remarried. I love being with people and being able to experience joy in others' lives, to see them laughing and enjoying life. I love dogs, but I'm not enthusiastic about cats. A random fact about me is that I'm obsessed with Harry Potter.

• Our Story •

We met on our missions, where we interacted briefly a few times, but otherwise didn't really get to know each other. Josh came to BYU in Summer of 2011 and Ashley came back to BYU in Winter of 2012, and we ran into each other on campus a couple of times in passing, but the real magic happened when Ashley moved into the ward where Josh was living in Fall 2012. We would see each other once in a while, and after Ashley first asked Josh out on a date, we started dating.
The rest, as they say, is history.
